I currently reside here in Cagayan de Oro city, Philippines and I am trying to get a visa to Australia. I found a travel agency here named Grandscape Travel and Tours but my tourist visa application was unpleasantly rejected, even if they have given me their assurance that it will get accepted, and not considering the P13,000 fee they imposed on me.
Anyway, answer the question above please? I don’t want to get hopeless.

I suggest that you check with the best hotel in CDO for a travel agency. It is most logical that the best travel agency would have liaison with the city’s top hotel.
Having said that, approval or denial of the visa can NEVER be assured by any travel agency. If at all, they may not have given you the best guidance, eager only to earn from you.
The visa application for Australia is a very routine, and admittedly rigid, process. They will issue a checklist of things you MUST submit. You are not even allowed to follow up during the process, and no travel agency is allowed either. The agency’s only role is to advise you how to go about it, no more, no less.
In fact, you do not need to use a travel agency for a visa application to Australia at all. If you are deemed by the embassy as qualified for a VISITOR VISA, you will be granted that without any fuss. But hey also have a way of determining unqualified applicants even if the application comes with tons of supporting documents which they consider to be spurious. Unfortunately, a lot of Filipinos do these tricks, to the disadvantage of Filipinos like you who are honest about their travel intentions.
Don’t get hopeless. Phone the embassy, and they will give you instructions on how to lodge a visa application.
