DOHA: The future of the global travel industry will come under the spotlight in India this weekend when decision makers converge for the annual gathering of the World Travel and Tourism Council.

The first passengers to travel between India and Pakistan across the divided region of Kashmir in nearly 60 years have begun their journeys. One bus left the Sheri Kashmir stadium in Srinagar, the capital of the Indian side of the region, after being seen off by Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh.
